I disagree, if you don't have children, especially if you are an educated person, you fail. You must have children. Otherwise the worst people will have children and society will be full of dangerous mentally ill people. Plus having a child is not really a choice. If you don't have a child your genetics "disappears from the world" . Meaning that possibly mankind will not bounce back, getting back to the middle ages because of you. So you lose against Natural selection. Don't forget we are animals after all. And we are fighting, even against our will, for survival and reproduction.

Humans have done a tremendous job in child rearing or our species would not be here today. Pluck out this snd pluck out that to see where we were 150,000 years ago. Well you weren’t there. What was the mortality rate? Patriarchy? Misogyny? That patriarchy been protecting women and children from the sabertooth all along. We can get primal. Your baby gonna matter more than the other tribe’s baby and you’re gonna feed your baby and woman if it means there is no food left for the other tribe. Thank a patriarch today for everything you have in the material world. Everything. I’m all for sensitive parenting and not letting babies cry and picking them up. But 150000 years ago you had to make sure your children are going to survive. That’s going to mean at some point you yell the top of your lungs when that child won’t stop playing with that deadly snake for anything. It’s gonna mean that when they won’t stop doing something extremely dangerous (they didn’t live in cocoons) you may end up whipping the daylights out of them. That was life. Now we live in cocoons (a whole other set of problems) and you want to think you know what life was really like way back then and blame everything on the patriarchy. You could have done a good job here, but instead of being grateful for men and their biological roles in caring for women and children you had to go and attack the patriarchy. That’s low level BS.

I (24 M) will now only date people who are interested in starting a family. I don't want to waste mine or anyone else's time and I've dated some people who genuinely do not want to have children. I find all my feelings are wasted if we don't have the same goals in mind.

They won't eat or speak because their brain is taking in too much sensory input. Reduce sensory input, and your child will be able to eat and speak more often. It happens to me, autistic adult with autistic child.👋🏻💗

I have autism and also a traumatic childhood. Due to my autism I am often seen as emotionless (I rarely smile at people and often have a nervous behaiviour around others, I have also been told that my eyes look "dead' and there's no one on the inside" Thise makes me anxious in social situations because I know people Will judge the way I look and the way I behave. Today it's completely fine for people to come out as gay. But it's not okay in the same way to tell the world that you have autism.Please don't get me wrong!!❤ Maybe that was a bad comparing, but I just wished being open about dissabilities would be just as okay as having a "different' sexuality. Can't we just accept eachother and stop seeing eachother ås different? But being autistic is harder because there are norms that I'm not following and that seems to scare people.

The dressing for the weather thing is even more important in rainy countries. I lived in Ireland on and off a lot, and if you didn't go out in the rain, there were months when you would not go out. Yet in Canada, where many regions have as many days of rain as in Ireland's capital cities, if not as unrelenting rain, people do not go out in the rain. Vancouver might be an exception... Not only that, one can be criticized for behaving unsafely if one rock climbs, cycles, or boats in the rain.

Refusing to have kids when fully capable of doing so is the epitome of selfishness.

I think you are right some autistic people can be bad parents but in my opinion on the flip side many autistic people could make an amazing parent, like neurotypical people all autistic people are different, some neurotypical people can make selfish terrible unempathic parents. My son has diagnosed Autism and has an buckets of empathy and resilience as do I and we are both neurodiverse.

I like many of the things you mention. I was born in Poland and later I moved to Canada. One of the points that you make which I like the best is how children are treated in Sweden. I loved how i was treated in Poland as a child and I hated how I was treated in Canada. I find Canadians grow up to be very unhealthy adults, if they grow up at all. Many of them have a hard time taking responsibility and there's major drug abuse on a national scale as well as a hight suicide rate. I feel that it all goes back to how people are treated here as children and how many people actually never learn to read. It's ridiculous. I am saving to move away permanently.

This series really felt like the creators wanted to make a freak show for neurotypical's entertainment. That season 2 was worse only shows that season 1 wasn't an accident. Talking about stressful situations: The restaurant setting wasn't even the worst. Speed dating was more of a nightmare! 🙁

I have autism, ADHD, and anxiety. My stepdad doesn’t understand what I have to go through every day with autism. He thinks it’s fine to be yelling at me just because I don’t do things the right way. He also doesn’t care about me anymore. My mom doesn’t want to help me in any way.

I’m from the United States of America, and I consider finding the love of my life either from Finland or Sweden because the Finns, and Swedes have beautiful blonde hair, beautiful blue eyes, and they speak English as a second language. When I get my love, I would love to travel around the European continent with her because it is so full with beautiful gems! I am 18 years young, I am a September 1 Virgo. If I could raise a family with the beautiful love of my life, i would like to wait until I am in my mid thirties because so I can save up money, and get prepared for parenthood. I would have two healthy cute adorable beautiful boys, and their names would be Jordyn Joy, and Adrien Blue.

The loving approach gets me ran over and disrespected even more. I can’t find a balance at all. The kinder and the more understanding that I am the less I can get my student to listen or do what she is supposed to do. She just screams that she hates me, kicks me, snatches from me and makes more of a scene. She just wants to play all day. Am I a bad educator if I just end up giving her what she wants because I’ve tried so many approaches and she just gets more aggressive 😢

I do love hearing this perspective, especially from someone who shares similar spiritual beliefs as me. The more spiritual I become.... the actual less I want a child to distract me from it. I don't like feeling guilty about it but I don't want to change... not physically nor lifestyle wise. I LOVE freedom and don't think I get enough of it already. It makes me deeply upset feeling my freedom being infringed upon and I can only guess how much more upset I would get with even less. I think babies of friends and family are cute from afar but everytime I spend time... I'm so grateful they're not mine. So yeah.. if others feel this way... just know you're not alone in not giving a care about wanting what we want and not wanting what we don't. 🙌🏽
